Do not See Photography as a Revenue Generator
I spent a few hours yesterday reviewing how people make revenue on line with their photography. My findings are that there really is not a way to generate any amount of money with the amount of competition unless you are a professional on assignment. I looked at sites where you set up a store front and there are all levels of photography on there but I found very few that have made much money at this and feedback on most of them was only 1-2 people. The amount of feedback predicts that volume is very low. I went to the stock photo sites and found that there are different ways to handle your pictures and copyright but none are great revenue sources. So back to the drawing board to review this process. In the mean time I will share my work on here for others to enjoy.

Learning Step by Step
Well today I started connecting my blog to my social network on Facebook and on Google+. I have also tweeted some of the information to my twitter account. I am now systematically going through each of my photos and placing a digital watermark on them. Then removing ones I had already posted on sites like Pinterest and replacing them with ones connected to my blog and digitally watermarked.
Now I am keeping my fingers crossed that all of this aids in protecting my photos from users that want to use them without my permission.
I am sure I am pretty annoying to Pinterest people that have liked or re pinned some of my photos already.

Trying to figure it all out?
Okay I have posted my first photograph which has a digital watermark. I am uneasy with other people using my photographs as an icon to link to their web pages especially since it looks like I am endorsing their content. At the same time I like showing off my photography and am not sure how I can protect it from it being used incorrectly. I will be using a digital watermark going forward on all pictures posted.
Well I sure do have a lot to learn about blogging and how to market your photos for revenue. I am not even sure if my work is good enough for any revenue value or even how much the going price is for photography. I am a little overwhelmed with all the knowledge I want to learn and not even sure where to start.
